David's brother Steven came to visit us in Dallas. We decided to take a day trip to Grapevine, Texas because the downtown area had a Christmas event. The weather was great - sunny and warm. What a great way to spend an afternoon with family!

Ice Show

We went to an incredible ice show at the Gaylord Texan Hotel. Over 40 artisans from Harbin, China came and hand-carved a winter wonder land using over 2 million pounds of ice. It was a "cool" experience -- literally and figuratively, as the temperature inside the show area was a cool 9 degrees Fahrenheit. Even with the parkas, we felt cold!
